With the coronavirus outbreak continuing to affect daily routines all over the world we would like to inform you that The 2nd International Symposium on Tropical and Sub-Tropical Ornamentals could not be conducted as originally planned on July 22-24, 2020. After consultations with ISHS and the parties and to the ensure the safety of all participants, speakers and organizing committee we have decided to reschedule the symposium to July 20-22, 2021.

We would like to inform you the new important dates below:

  • Abstract Submission Deadline : September 1st, 2020
  • Abstract Modification Deadline : September 30th, 2020
  • Full Paper Submission Deadline : November 1st, 2020
  • Full Paper Modification Deadline : March 1st, 2021

The plenary lectures will be delivered by leading scientists in diverse fields related to tropical and sub-tropical ornamentals including physiology, biotechnology, breeding, production technology, nutrition, postharvest, marketing and any other issues related to ornamental plants and cut flowers.

This event is a great opportunity to bring together researchers, academics, students, growers, technicians, and other professionals in cut flower industry to share knowledge and ideas, as well as to discuss the state of the art and future perspectives for improving and developing tropical and sub-tropical ornamental production and marketing.

Bogor is located about 60 km south of the capital city Jakarta. Areas surrounding Bogor is the largest producer of cut flowers and ornamental plants in Indonesia. Bogor is one of the main tourist destinations in Indonesia. Bogor Botanical Garden, which was established in 1817 and is the oldest botanical garden in Southeast Asia, is located in the Bogor city, within the walking distance from the TSO venue.

IPB University or Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), began an agricultural school formed by the Dutch colonial regime in the early 20th century. IPB is the largest agricultural university offering agricultural sciences, life science and environmental education in Indonesia.
